Victims of war should never be mere statistics

If we can’t empathise with victims of war, we have lost our human dignity, in fact we lose the right to call ourselves human. The Anglo-American invasion and war of aggression in Iraq was devastating for Iraq, the over-throw of Saddam, once an ally and partner with the west, was a secondary objective, the destruction of Iraqi society on every level was the primary goal. We owe to the victims of war mourning, we owe the victims of silence our memory.
